In retrospect I wonder whether we ever had any real use for Reid. We acquired him + a 3rd round pick for two 5th round picks, which doesn't indicate much interest. Perhaps we regarded him as insurance in case Laing didn't show up.

Yes Reid has been a disappointment after playing Div I ball down south. Hamilton and Edmonton both found him wanting. Too bad as he had all the physical tools for the DLine. But on the other hand Cleyon Laing has lived up to his billing nicely.
