What happened?Not sure, he's lost a step or wasn't there mentally, Renaud was one of the top 2 punters in the league 2 years ago. IMO the Dales signing is the end of the line for Renaud in Swaggerville, Mack is also looking into bringing in competition for Palardy as well.

Can't find the old FA thread but the Lions released Kiere Johnson and tje Redskins have done the same with E Arceneaux. I think its time release Rambo and go hard after these two.

I too like both of those ex-Lions receivers. However, we are in next year land as far as working any new receivers into the lineup so there isn't any point in releasing Rambo at this time. However, Johnson and Arceneaux should certainly be considered for next season.

I agree. I may have overreacted by saying Rambo is done but looking into next year if we can sign 1/2 here, that's an upgrade over the aging Rambo especially in the long run.

Kierrie Johnson is intriquing due to his speed. He's similar in size to Ticat Chris Williams. The Lions liked him but he's in his option year and they don't normally keep those guys on the roster...receiving a playoff bonus and $30k ring for standing on the sidelines with no commitment to the team next season.

Arseneaux probably still has NFL stars in his eyes, but Buono said yesterday he's already been in contact with his agent. The Lions are stacked at receiver and probably won't offer Manny much...so there's an opening for the Argos to snag him (along with Regina, Edm...)

Kierrie Johnson has signed with SSK. With Barnes and Mann finally performing to expectations based on their preseason it makes sense why we didn't go after him. It seems like we're "stacked" at the receiver position atm. Maybe not stacked but we definitely have a surplus.
