I wasn't a huge fan of Buck's in recent years as I thought that he was vastly overrated but there is no denying that it took a lot of punishment to keep him off the field and that, by all accounts, he was a team leader. I am actually quite surprised that he is retiring now. I thought that he would go for at least another season or two. The Lions have now lost their #2 and #3 QBs behind a starter whose health is now questionable.
