Just heard on TSN Drive with Dave Naylor that Marcus Ball has signed with the Saints. No details, but this is not surprising.

Well, I'm a sorta Saints fan - so, hope Marcus can do well there - a la former Argos Bruce Clark and Gill Fenerty.

Confirmed - write-up on Ball on the Saints' site - have him listed as a safety, which he played in college ball, and makes sense (wasn't going to be looked at as a LB in the NFL). I'll be he makes it, if only as a special teams gunner - great D talent and glad we got to see him with the Argos for TWO full seasons at least. Hope he would return to the good ship Argo if he doesn't make it in the NFL.

Great for him. He's not only a fine player, but a good guy.

T (http://www.cfl.ca/article/barker-youve-got-to-have-a-progression-plan)his article (interview) conveys well that - all things being more or less equal - it wouldn't be good to stand in the way of players' bona fide opportunities to fashion a career in the NFL.
