Furthermore, they aren't getting huge TV money, are they? This seems very NASLish to me but nobody appears to be ringing any alarm bells.

Yup, it's crazy. When you do the math based on this breakdown, Toronto FC is committed to 16.6 million in salaries this year.

Now, the MLS does have twice as many home games for gate as the CFL, but when you add in all the revenues, the numbers don't add up. You've gotta have deep pockets to spend that kind of money with the hopes that bigger things await down the road...
