Hello Everyone

For the past 3-4 seasons I have been looking after ArgoFans.com. I essentially took over the site from former owner Mark (Argofan), when he wasn't able to find the time to do maintenance/moderation anymore and he entrusted me with complete control. In January Mark decided he wanted to sell the site and approached me about buying it.

I don't know if all of you know, my life has taken me to Ottawa, and we really enjoy it here. While I will always bleed double blue at heart, it's been awfully hard to avoid the excitement that is building in this city over the RedBlacks. Yes, I have season tickets and RedBlacks gear, showing my passion and support for the CFL.

Anyways, I had to look at everything, and it really came down to me not being able to promote the site the way I wanted living 500km away, I also couldn't make the financials work with my wife no longer working. (long story, can give you details if you want)
I contacted a few people who I thought may be interested and facilitated the sale.

For the past 4 months I've been helping with back end stuff, server transitions, some backups, settings and file management.

Today, the transition is complete and I have removed myself from all Moderator & Admin duties. I will still assist when needed with anything on the server.

I know sometimes I can be pretty stubborn but thank you everyone, you all made my time as administrator/moderator an easy one.

Enjoy Ottawa. I really enjoyed the city when I lived there for four years in the 90's. I likely would still be there if they hadn't closed down my air force base in Uplands and sent me to that piss hole Trenton.

Because of the experience I gained here, I was able to setup an new company website and wiki page for internal use. It's great to learn but be a pain at times.

Oh, and I know how much of a piss hole that area is, Grew up in Belleville.

Thanks, Mulder! I lived in Ottawa for many years and am actually at a conference in the city at the moment. Every time I come back, it reminds me why it is my favourite city to live in. Enjoy the RedBlacks and thanks for all that you have done with this site.

Thanks Mulder. I especially appreciate the fact that this site is superb when it comes to communicating different opinions without turning into personal attacks (usually). You've provided a positive answer to the old Irish question "Is this fight personal, or can anybody join in?". Believe me there are a significant number of sports and other sites I no longer visit because there is much more vituperation than discussion. You have played the central role in accomplishing this, along with the help of the vast majority of Argo posters.
