The renovation of our defense continues. We released Ricardo Colclough yesterday (and signed DT Padric Scott).

In addition to the usual turnover of retirements, "NFL shots", and financial decisions, we've chosen to release Culbert, Morley, and now Colclough. None of those guys were core members of our 2013 D, but each played quite a bit. The other thing they have in common is that they are all DB/LB tweeners. I think this is consistent with the idea that our post-Jones defense will feature more specialization.

Oh, and of the 12 guys who started on D in the Eastern final, 5 are still on the roster (for now!).

Not surprised to see Colclough released. With a new defensive scheme veterans will be leaving...as for this Padric Scott, he possesses a stout build for sure at 6ft tall 309lbs...benched 225lbs 38 times & runs I believe a 5 sec 40 at his pro day last year...I like the players who have been brought in to shore up the D-ine...expect Ted Laurent to be signed after the labour dispute.

Not surprised to see Colclough released.

Nor am I surprised to see Colclough dropped. I think he can easily be replaced.
