20 seasons of kick-ass tunes and being the only people trying to keep the Argonauts fight song alive. Here's to the Argonauts' unofficial ambassadors and one of only two pep bands in the CFL.

Congratulations and many thanks for all the years of providing us fans with a little extra both at games and other Argo events. We probably don't say thank you anywhere near enough.
Thank you. Thank you.

Next to AC DC, favorite band. Love it when they crash bars before the game and always look for them after the game. Well done and can hear you in 211. Not sure if that is good or bad??

Not used enough by the organization IMO. You have a pep band, only 2 in the CFL, you would think the club would make some sort of use of them. I know that last season they brought the Argonotes to the field for a few short seconds and it was probably a bit of a pain to use the elevators back and forth but why not have them come on at half time or before the game and teach the crowd the Argos fight song? If it was not for the Argonotes, the Dal Richards tune would be extinct by now. Also why not have them do the anthem? I'm not sure how the sound system would work for the whole band but it can be done right?

I would prefer to have the Argonotes to do a halftime show over the recent halftime acts from the last few years. Remember the guy at Varsity last year with the huge mascot head? Who on earth was that?

I'm 22 and I really don't think these shows cater to the younger crowds or nor do they care. But hey that's just me. Sorry for going a bit off topic, just a peeve of mine.

I like that idea Argogabe .... Have the Argonotes teach the crowd the fight song ..... And we can follow the words on the jumbotron!
Congrats Argonotes on 20 yrs ..... I will always enjoy!

Thanks everybody for the kind words which I'll pass along to everybody in the band! We love playing for you all and 20 years after we started, it's still lots of fun. We're very lucky that we get to do this for a great franchise and its equally great fans.

Here, for future reference, are the words and music to "Go Argos Go", written by Johnny Burt for the "CFL Songs" album by Dal Richards in 1968. Dal is still going strong and leading bands at 96 in Vancouver! Hope I get to meet him some day. His album contains tunes still played across the CFL to this day.

Not used by the Argonauts and treated like crap at Fan Day. Blaring crap dance music rather then having The Argonotes play. Why have them there to sit and bake in the hot sun. They're not getting paid so they just wasted their time. I had to leave early because I couldn't stand the music which made my ears bleed.

Best team band in the league as The Rider Puke Band pisses me off with their loud mouth fool leader.

Amen!

Thanks for all the hard work that goes into the Argonotes, Shayman.

BTW, I can't stand the Rider pep band either.

Now now. We have to pay respect to them as they are the oldest pep band in the CFL. Keep in mind older doesn't mean better.

Sorry, but every time that conductor lady speaks I cringe.

Is there anybody here from BC?
Is there anybody here from Edmonton?

and so on and so on

The Sask pep band certainly has a different schtick than we do, but I greatly admire their ability to actually get to the Grey Cup every single year; that's something we haven't figured out yet.

They're fans, like us, and if we lived in Regina, we'd probably join (and immediately start to work on changing the music they play :-)
