This is a very good read: http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/football/cfl/third-and-goal-can-the-redblacks-bring-football-glory-back-to-ottawa

It is amazing that there are already 17k season ticket holders in the nation's capital. I can't wait to see the refurbished stadium as it sounds like a real gem.

It was an interesting read, just as interesting were some of the comments, particularly the first one who put his location from Simon Fraser University...the school that prefers to play Joe Colleges that nobody has heard of from the DIV II USA than in the CIS where there football looked even less than ordinary.

This poster talked about gridlock, in Ottawa, because heaven knows there's none in any other city in North America when it comes to going to sports event. If people in that region put up with going to Senators games in Kanata, heading to the Glebe to go to Lansdowne Park is a piece a cake in the summer and fall. You can walk from downtown to get there, something you definitely can't do to see a SENS game from Downtown.

There are more transportation options to the stadium in the winter than in the summer. :D

The location of that stadium in Ottawa is perfect IMO. As you say, Gill, it is easy to get to and much easier to get to with public transit than the Palladium in Kanata. I will continue to call the hockey arena the Palladium because its name changes every couple of years and I can't keep track of what it is anymore. BTW, I wonder if Eugene Melnyk will be at the RedBlacks' first home game considering how disrespectful he was of the CFL while he was trying to get a soccer stadium built out in Kanata.
