I'm with Simmons here. Batista is the biggest whiner out there. In his mind there has never been a called strike to him in which the umpire was correct.

I was thinking the same. I hate Simmons as much as the next guy but I wouldn't say Bautista is the nicest guy either. Although I did chuckle with his reply.

I have no issue with Simmons first tweet but then he made an assumption with the second one and ended up looking stupid. He probably should have left it alone.

Technically speaking Simmons is correct that the Royals did not make any significant acquisitions at the deadline. I don't know if they were ahead or behind the Blue Jays at that point either.

I suspect most celebrities have a marketing agency assisting them with their twitter account, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility that many celebrities still will tweet from time-to-time themselves. Simmons forgot that or didn't consider it a possibility.

I'm on Joey Batts side ..... Simmons is acting like your 12 yr old niece LLB997 .

How does Kansas city not making a trade and getting into the playoffs affect what Bautista said before regarding trades at deadline time. Sure KC made the playoffs without a trade but the Jays didnt make it without a trade ..... doesn't that balance the equation .... if you don't make a trade you have a 50-50 chance of making the playoffs?

Simmons loves to play the "lets look at the sport from a different angle" ..... mainly the outside. Talk baseball, talk football .... not this other garbage.

Don't like his comments or his articles.... and I usually turn him off on the radio lately ......Mmmmmm am I turning into an old curmudgeon? too much influence from you guys. :D

He also could have made the statement without calling out Bautista ..... as if he's the GM or something.
