Anyone think that the RedBlacks may ride the additional emotion in Ottawa tonight to an upset victory over Montreal?

Probably not.

I'm just hoping that Winnipeg beats B.C. The Lions finish against both Calgary and Edmonton, so a loss this week will definitely keep alive the chance of no crossover. A Lions win, guarantees a crossover.

I have been down on Burris all season....come on Henry, shut me up!!!!

This just in: Henry Burris needs to retire.

If Saskatchewan truly did inquiry about his availability last month, Desjardins should be fired for not pulling the trigger.

Agreed Angelo, probably held on one year too long, has had a great career, won't get any better in Ottawa anytime soon.

Objectionable Conduct on Ottawa? CFL is getting a little bit nitpicky...let the players have a bit of fun...

It's official Rick Campbell is a complete moron!!
Challenging a play that the (equally moronic) officials had just reviewed, first thing the Redblacks should do for season 2 is get a new coach, this guy is in over his head.

I don't really blame him much for that. I believe that he did it both out of desperation and to make a point about the Command Centre's ruling being incorrect. There was not enough evidence on that play to overturn the fumble but they did it anyway. The Als, besides playing solid football, seem to be getting those kinds of breaks lately too.

That's two weeks in a row where the command centre has overturned an on-field ruling despite what could charitably be described as a lack of conclusive evidence to overturn. It's at the point where the booth is as or more likely to get it wrong than the on-field officials. Ridiculous.

My question is how can these calls be so obvious to all of us as well as the broadcast crew and not to the video replay crew, truly bizarre, makes the league a joke at times.

We need the Bombers to win...just in case the Argos lose one. BC has to lose the rest so we can be assured of a 3rd team in the east getting in.

Firstly, I want the Argos in, secondly, I don't want to see a crossover from the west come to the east.

Friggin Bombers blew a 4th quarter lead, now trail 28-23 late.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be, Gill. So now one of Toronto, Montreal or Hamilton will miss the playoffs completely even if they win as many as 8 games. No team has missed the playoffs with at least 8 wins since the 1995 Memphis Mad Dogs who were 9-8-1. The best record to miss since '95 was the 2000 Argos at 7-10-1.

Was thinking it was the Sacramento Goldminers...cause I could remember David Archer QBing vs Edmonton in a controversial finish that I vaguely remember. Was that the TD pass that was called a trap at Commonwealth and cost an American team a playoff spot in the last week of the season. Was that the Goldminers in 1994 with Archer or was he with Memphis in that 1995 team as I remember the Goldminers playing in San Antonio (Texans) who made the playoffs.

I think that was Sacramento in 94 who may have had a .500 record or close to it and failed to make the playoffs. I now remember Memphis had Damon Allen at QB in 1995 so that fact would be right.

Good memory about the '94 Gold Miners, Gill. They did go 9-8-1 but missed the playoffs in the West Division that year. Damon Allen was the starting QB for Memphis in '95 and was backed up by Ricky Foggie. The less than standard Canadian field did not help that team's offence nor did head coach Pepper Rodgers' misunderstanding of the Canadian game. IIRC, Adam Rita was officially Memphis' offensive coordinator but Rodgers more or less ended up overruling Rita which is another reason why the Mad Dogs struggled on offence that year.
