I can't argue with any of these. That Van Zeyl doubles not only as top lineman but also top Canadian gives an indication of just how decimated the Argos' Canadian talent has been by injuries. Outside of Jermaine Gabriel, Jeff Keeping and Tyler Holmes, has any Canadian starter not missed at least one game this season? Several have missed many games.

Swayze is a lock in my opinion for special teams. I actually think that he is Argos MOP material.

I agree with you there. He kept us in several games this season.

I don't think Emery has missed any games. I would have picked Gabriel as oustanding Canadian for the Argos.

I think a case can be made that Holmes, not VZ, has been our best o-lineman. VZ has alternated between good and terrible. Holmes seems to get beaten less frequently than all the other guys. He's heading into free agency and I am worried we won't be able to re-sign him.

Kirk Penton mentioned in his weekly Blitz column that Holmes may be getting a large contract somewhere this off-season. I hope it is from the Argos but I worry about what incentive any player would have to sign with the Argos given the state of the franchise. In Holmes' case, he is also an Ottawa native and you would have to believe that the RedBlacks will go hard after him.

I agree with that. From my observations, Holmes has had difficulty on handling the switch when teams are running stunts and twists on his side. Last game especially, there was a play when Rogers did a great job on the switch, but Holmes was late in making the switch which resulted in Ray getting sacked.

You and argolio are probably right, but we better re-sign him anyway.

I don't disagree there. The talent is obviously there, so the only way to improve is to gel as a unit

I suspect there have been some "growing pains" with Bryan Chiu as the OL coach, no disrespect to him but he was a last minute hire by Milanovich and has a somewhat limited coaching resume which at times has been exposed this season IMO.
O-Line play with McAdoo was far superior.

Agreed. I mentioned that in another thread as well. That loss may have been the Argos biggest loss in the off season.

I also agree, this is a weak link.
