News report (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Source-Chargers-work-out-Austin-Pettis-John-Chiles.html). Despite a poor 2014, apparently he has gotten some attention. We may have Inman to blame for that.

My source tells me he blew a hami tying up his shoes, out 4-6 weeks.

That new rule in the NFL that allows teams to bring 90 players to training camp is hurting the CFL. Allows them all to bring in more CFL players for a look but pretty well takes those players out of most of the CFL season even if they're cut. The Argos seem to lose more players to the NFL then the rest of the CFL teams IMO.

If we lose Chiles, which I suspect will happen, perhaps Barker can replace him with other receiver mentioned in that article, Austin Pettis....

If you talk to player personnel guys, the 90 player TC doesn't really matter and a dumb idea. Those extra 15 guys aren't going to play pro football at any level, they're just not good enough. You normally now see CFL june cuts go right to NFL TCs so teams can get to 90. Those guys are cut again 3 weeks later.

Inman could be part of the why Chiles is getting a look. Inman was terrific in the Chargers last two games.

Losing Chiles would be a bummer. And I don't get the "he had a bad year" sentiment. He was injured for most of the year. When he returned he made some good, athletic catches, rather like he did the year before.
Man, this perennial talent drain to the NFL is tedious and, alas, unavoidable.

Tired of the constant turnover and getting pretty sick of pro sports in general. Still LOVE the CFL but I once was a massive Jay, Leaf and Viking fan. Baseball lost me with strikes (ok that sounds funny) and steroids. NFL has been losing me for years and this year I haven't watched one whole game.Sick of over payed criminals. I can still watch the Leafs but I do plenty of flipping to other shows. Too many channels with plenty of stuff I love such as The First 48, any of the reality Cops types shows and the like.

How are the Argos going to draw in more fringe fans when the team is in constant turmoil? Why would anyone buy a jersey with their favorite player name and number on it?

Happy New Year if you can still say that.

Happy New Year if you can still say that. You have to customize your own jersey these days no matter what league. Free agency is responsible for that. It's particularly bad in the CFL with all the 2 year contracts. That's why I leave my jersey blank.
