I haven't really paid attention to the NHL in the last few years, but I couldn't help but notice Ottawa's remarkable resurgence this year. 23-4-4 is an impressive way to end a season in any league, and I plan to keep an eye on them in the playoffs.

An Ottawa/Winnipeg Stanley Cup final. My perfect scenario. I might even watch for the first time in a decade. A)It would be great for Canada and B) I can't wait to hear the screaming from Bettman/NBC.

Tin Hat on: The non call on Subban tells you Bettman has no desire to see Ottawa in the Cup. They are always looking for a NY/LA type matchup. If any Canadian teams make it, I am sure the NHL favours MTL or VAN.

So much for the Sens. Oh well - at least Ottawa (belatedly) made the series interesting.
