Tom Anselmi on Cybulski & Co. discussing the potential impact of corporations potentially no longer being able to write-off suites and seats etc. http://iphone.tsn.ca/tsnpodcasts/TomAnselmi_030112.mp3

While I have no doubt in my mind that the Leafs will feel little to no effect if this were to pass, but I think it would have a huge impact on the Blue Jays, Raptors, Argos, Ticats, TFC, Rock, Marlies, Bulldogs and especially the Ottawa Senators. The Sens reportedly lost 14 million just last season, if they lose some corporate support because of this, I would think that the Sens could be in big trouble in 5 years or less.

As a taxpayer, I don't believe that corporations should be able to write that stuff off. As a CFL fan however, yes, that could have a potential negative impact.

Business expenses are legimate, and it should not matter if you entertain these folks at "a game", a strip joint, or at dinner.

This is devastating, for both business, and most sports teams.

The ONLY upside is that the Maple Leafs might get some real fans in the seats and make some noise

I agree with your last statement the most.

If Canadian teams are losing money, Why is the salary cap going up? and Keep going up?
