...needs improvement.

2015 draftee Sean McEwen will *probably* show up and get a contract next year, but even if he meets optimistic projections and is our 2016 starting RG and 2017 starting C, our OL needs work. Tyler Holmes is young, solid and is signed for a couple of years, but everyone else is either getting old (Smith, Van Zeyl, Keeping) or hasn't been exceptional (Campbell, Van Roten). I like Van Roten's versatility and hope we keep him, but we seem to have a lot of holes for a team that should be building towards a 2016 Grey Cup run. Hopefully we'll recruit well in the off-season, but I had hoped that we'd find one or two guys who would contribute this year and be *important* next year, to help build continuity and "chemistry".

McEwen showing up and the return of a healthy Jerriel King could be huge help maybe; there is also the draft and some good prospects there.

No kidding! What a welcome back for Ray on Friday against BC. We were joking that Harris must have paid them off to let everyone get to Ray.

I fully expect McEwen to join Chris Rosetti in Miami in the offseason. Hope we can draft a good o-line men instead recruiting Americans like we saw play against Montreal.

I've always loved the Flutie type qb's. Your O line never looks as bad when you have a guy who isn't a pylon. I'm hoping this last young qb we signed is a real keeper. I watched some video on him and he looks perfect for our league. The guy can throw and run well. Just look at how Wally keeps finding these guys. On a side note he has to as they keep getting seriously injured.

I think Van Roten is a much better Centre than guard. Seems to me that our O-line performed much better early in the year with him at Centre and Smith at guard. Unfortunately, Smith hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy and at his age, it shouldn't be expected for him to be a starter. Could be that Keeping is on his last legs as an Argo as well. Same for CVZ.

No complaints for the most part with the left side ouf the line.

Honestly, Flutie is a 1 in a million. A lot of the "play ground" QB's we've seen in the CFL might not get sacked as much, but they often result in a lot more holding penalties for their O-Line, because quite often, they are not where they are suppossed to be.

Hopefully McEwen is ready to come to training camp next season, whether or not he's ready to be a starter is a whole other matter. The right side is our achilles heel right now, I'm not a fan of Van Roten, IMO his "versatility" is that he can play multiple positions with mediocre success at best. Van Zeyl is off this year, not sure if it's age or injury or maybe even a combination of both, but somethings off, he was a former all star for goodness sake. Smith is oft injured and to be honest I don't think he's good enough to be a starter anyhow. Hopefully the Argonauts go oline heavy during next years draft, we need a sure fire RG, one of Vaillancourt, Guy or St. John would be great. I still believe that Sewell has the potential to be a top end RT, though I also believe if ever given the opportunity he could also start at left tackle.

Hopefully McEwen chooses to come to training camp next season . . .

I wish I didn't feel compelled to revise this, but I do. I am very worried we're gonna be played and he's going south at least for 2016.

Tyler Holmes only signed a one-year deal. He is a free agent in February.

It's been a few years since we've had a solid o-line, however I thought by this point in the season we would've had that figured out. These days I cringe every time he ball is snapped as I have to watch the pocket collapse way too quickly.

If true, that is very disturbing news.

Not true (http://www.canada.com/sports/football/cfl/Toronto+Argonauts+sign+starting+guard+Tyler+Holmes +contract+extension/10774621/story.html). He'll be a FA in 2017.
