My wife saw on Facebook that former Stampeder Willie Burden died. Used to love watching him in those good old Stamps jersey's.

I saw that as well. He was only 64. He built a good career as a sports management professor following his playing days. I read that he has had heart problems for about 20 years and died while awaiting a heart transplant.

He rushed for 1896 yards for a bad Calgary team (4-12) back in 1975. That is quite amazing! He had a solid career from 1974 to 1981 with the Stamps before retiring.

Sad to hear. Willie Burden was one of my favourite non-Argos.
