W (http://cfl-scrapbook.no-ip.org/McQuarters.Ed.php)hat team is this play the Roughriders? Is that Don Moorhead of the BC Lions? I have never seen those uniforms / logo ever before.

What is with the logo on the helmet? I could not find anything online talking about that emblem. I thought that time period the Lions had a black helmet with an orange BC Lion symbol with a orange strip down the middle. The one in the picture looks like 3 horse shoes.

I think it's from 1971.

No idea what the logo signifies.

The helmets are from 1971 according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1971_BC_Lions_season) and it signifies BC's Canadian Confederation Centennial.

Thanks, I was really curious. I see there were coins. That is so cool how the team celebrated the cenntenial with the logo on the helmet.

I remember these helmets that BC had back in the 70's. That also looks like Riders Ed McQuarters #61 bearing down on Moorhead.

Yep - pretty sure that is McQuarters - guy was a beast at DT = one of the best I ever saw at the position in the CFL, along with John Helton and Dave Fennell.
