The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have cut 33 year-old former Argo Dominic Picard. Do you think the Argos might bring him back at a reduced salary?

Dominic Picard’s game has always been about grit, about toughness, about doing anything possible — most of it legal — to gain an advantage along the line of scrimmage.
And now the veteran centre is again looking for a new team to appreciate all those qualities after being released by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Wednesday.
The move isn’t all that surprising, given the play of Matthias Goossen at the end of the 2015 season with Picard on the injured list. And with the veteran centre also earning in excess of $190,000, he also became a victim of the salary cap. ...

Picard started 14 games in 2015 before being injured. Goossen’s play impressed Bombers brass so much they were ready to have the starting chores handed to him long term.

Would Picard be an upgrade over Keeping? I don't think so. Argos must blow up 60 percent of the line this offseason if they want to be successful in 2016.

If the Argos can sign Sean McEwen I would not sign Picard. Picard was a very good Argo who almost never missed a game. Great guy as well but too much money and not much of an up grade over Keeping.

Huge "if." I will be extremely surprised if McEwen does not go to an NFL camp.

That said, I'm not interested in Picard. Van Roten can slide into centre if/when Keeping gets hurt. That requires a NAT to step up elsewhere on the line, tho. Really hope Sewell finally breaks through to be an every-down player, but must admit I am not holding my breath on that.

I like Picard, but hi temper gets the better of him a lot. I've never seen an O-Lineman take as many 15 yarders as he does.

Picard is done like dinner. Unless he's willing to make peanuts, I don't see him playing anywhere next season, even more doubtful as a starter.
