Having a veteran but often injured QB to pair up with a sophomore Jonathan Jennings gives the Lions some insurance against injury or poor performance. However, based on last year, Jennings is the Lions' long-term solution.

I'm not sure he is 100% guaranteed the starter's job wherever he goes. Maybe Montreal?

Me too. Lulay is a great back-up for Jennings IMO; a wealth of knowledge, future coach, by all accounts a great team guy and could play if necessary.

The knock against Vernon Adams as a potential NFL player is his size, though I read he impressed a few teams at whatever all-star game(s) he played in. He'd be an intriguing CFL prospect if he were to come up here.
