Having extra GO train time added on just wasn't worth attempting seasons this year. Perhaps in the future. At least we have a custom made Rawhide dark blue couch which sits within 30 steps or less of the fridge and stove. haha. I have to try and look at the bright side of missing what will be a BLAST.

Having to worry about getting home for pets as well. I hope to stay a few nights in TO to enjoy a few games. It takes us an hour just to get to Oshawa GO and that's with really hauling ass. I don't tend to speed much anymore as life is pretty laid back here.
If we didn't have pets it would be a whole other story. But home life would be boring.

I don't think that it's going to be as easy to get game day tickets @ BMO Field, especially this season.

I tried to get Club seats, but they are sold out. Of course 70% of the tickets being sold are on the Argos side of the field and of course the cameras are located on the Argos side of the field. I was talking with someone in the Argos office and they are concernered about this and if people don't have a preference, the Argos will start asking people to buy on the other side of the field. They are very confident that they will sellout most games, however if they get 23,000 to a game, most of the empty 3000, 4000 seats will be on the side that the TV viewers will see. Not great for optics, you would hope that someone at least raised this issue

plus the eastside is basically all new. the westside is 10years old and needs some updating (which i believed is planned in couple years)

yes. TFC supporter groups (112 is ground zero) have been pushing for it hard.
I think most US college stadiums use standing room or bench seating for their bands due to all the equipment.

Never sat down their so don't know how tight the seating is currently vs the skydome.

TBH don't think you can go wrong with any seat location at BMO.
Originally wanted West side second deck essentially opposite of where we are now, but nothing was available for the seat areas that I wanted, so downgraded and regretted it right away. Easily rectified; I was even thanked for upgrading and going to the East side lol. I agree with the 3rd point - in checking out the virtual venue; BMO will have amazing (especially in comparison to the dome) sight lines. I think all us fans will be very happy this season - the team winning should also help in that department.

I haven't say on the East yet but my understanding is that the 200 Level seats are the same on both sides.

So are the 200 level seats on the east side better/more comfortable than those on the west ? I know they are newer...... Thanks

The backrests on the east side seats have a funny angle but yes the seats are wider and in general more comfortable than the west stands.
THF seats are 100x better than the BMO seats, wider, more legroom and cup holders on the seats ahead.

Sat in my new seats last night on the West side (section 223) 40 yard line, amazing vantage point but my one complaint would be the actual seats are cheaply designed and are quite narrow.
Are they the same as the East side ones ? Because the ones I sit on are a little uncomfortable for me. They're also small for my cousin (who's a heavier set guy).


On a side note: I'll be finishing up this season in my seats on the East side, but I've spoken to my account rep Rob, and made him aware that next season: West side or bust.

SnowRogue, even though the east stands seats are more comfortable, being out of the sun, closer to the field and overall vantage point more than make the switch worthwhile IMO.

Yeah, those 3 reasons are why I want to switch next year. I can handle finishing up this season and I'm hoping similar type seats open up on the West end next year. From where I sit, it's a bit hard to make out what's going on in the South endzone, I also feel really far away, and I loathe the heat, so best place is the west end for me. I should've never switched in the first place.

How do you like those seats?
I'm in the same section in row 6 and I find it too close to the field.
I'll be moving higher up next season.

I've decided I like the seats. 10% discount for the inconvenience of the TSN camera cart. Only once this season did the cart block us. Love the sideline banter. It beats upper tier seats at Mile High Stadium.
