Check out the 1975 Grey Cup in full on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ydn27xF6Jd4

From about the 27 minute mark to just past the 32 minute mark, you will see a female streaker on the field. She doesn't get hauled off until the national anthem is over. Our current Prime Minister can be seen at around the 20 minute mark and just before the 48 minute mark.

I love the way the player introductions were done back then. Interesting to see three receivers and three running backs for the Als and each team with only three assistant coaches with one of those - Gene Gaines - being a playing assistant coach for the Als.

There was a link there to the 71 GC and I watched a bit of that (have to watch all of it
still) - the Stamps D-Line owned the Argo O-line that game and poor old Joe had little time to throw; they also shut-down McQuay & Symons good (soggy turf a factor) = no wonder the Argo offence produced so little.

 Did that game ever po me back at the time !!!

Wittman's Memories - 1975 Grey Cup (https://youtu.be/rGmF5aguxvk)

Now what he doesn't say here is that a woman came to the broadcast booth and handed him an envelope before the game. He would see a whole lot more of her in the moment to come. He would never forget the name Nadia Stoochnoff aka Llarice Nadia Whitman (no relation)

Grey Cup streaker in court CALGARY: Llarice Nadia Whitman, 35, of Calgary pleaded not guilty in provincial court Wednesday to a charge of committing an indecent act before 33,000 football fans during opening ceremonies of the Grey Cup game at McMahon Stadium Nov. 23. She will stand trial Dec. 31. She was charged after a halfnaked woman danced through the ranks of officials, cheerleaders and bandsmen while police stood still during the singing of O Canada.

She would be 75 years-old today. That is certainly an interesting memory to share with the grandkids if she has any.

Oh yes Ravi, because grandkids always want to hear about the time their grandmother went streaking.

In this case, not only can they hear about it but they can now see it!

I thought it looked like she had some kind of a filmsy see through outfit on, but she put on a great show. lol

A lot of memories of players and officials after seeing this again. I liked how the Officials let the players play. Bill Fry from Oshawa and Lorne Woods from Ottawa who I knew and Tom Lysack all great CFL referees IMO. But Lorne left us a way to early. Fun to watch Wally Bouno and Larry Smith play again before they went on to bigger things. WR Stu Lang of the Eskies went on to become quite wealthy in business and has bank rolled the Guelph University Football program as well as Coaching them. Also he and his wife both have put up 5 million each towards the new Stadium in Kingston for the Queens Football program which is due to open this fall. A lot of great stories could be written about many of the participants in that game. Marv Levy going on to Coach the Bills etc. etc. Also all the great announcers back then who are sadly no longer with us. That could be quite a book if it was written about many of the people in that game.
Thanks again Ravi for the memories. They were the good old days for sure.
