A lot of series in the States show CFL games - Licensing issues with the NFL is the reason behind this. Modern family, 30 Rock (Alouettes), Life in Pieces and I'm sure a few more have shown CFL games. Funny enough the Argonauts are almost always showcased.

Who can forget the Roughriders game that was being watched during Showgirls back in the 1990s? Mike Saunders was featured in that clip. I guess that it would have been more fitting though for the women to be watching a Las Vegas Posse game instead.

Some even cover the CFL draft.... The Simpson's was pretty fun along with training camp. Always my favourite when anything is mentioned or seen about the CFL. My wife cannot stand the rewinding and rechecking to see if I know the game details...

There's a Columbo TV movie from 1992 called "A Bird in the Hand" which shows scenes from a Saskatchewan at Edmonton game. I just happened to see it while channel surfing about 10 years ago. The team with the "S" on their helmets were called the Stallions.

I was 17 when Showgirls was released. I might have seen it a few times. :o

I was watching the latest episode of House of Lies and there is clearly an Alouettes game on the screen when they are in a sports bar. I can't quite tell who Montreal is playing though.
