Once officially announced I won't be surprised. I've read and heard quite a few times that the League is/was concerned with all the hockey events in Toronto for 2016 (World Juniors, World Cup), but I've always thought it made too much sense to host the game in 2017 - Grey Cup seating will be up, why not take advantage.

Why do they always have to schedule an outdoor game with Chicago?
Can't they find another team to play in one of these outdoor games once in awhile?
Every bloody season.

As a Blackhawks fan, I'm tired of this.

I think the best before date on these outdoor "classics" has expired.
I went to the AHL outdoor Classic at Ivor Wynne about 3 years ago and realized the stupidity of sitting miles away from the ice surface and completely freezing my ass off watching a game that could be played indoor.

I have never understood the appeal of these outdoor games but I guess that we are in the minority.

Time to give up the BS but I guess there's too much money to be made.

That is more than likely the prevailing factor.

I assume that there will be an alumni game in addition to the actual game?

The alumni team would probably give the current squad a run for their money!!

The alumni team would probably give the current squad a run for their money!!Ha! But if they're all in the same shape as Jeff O'Neill, I don't think they'd last more than two shifts.
