I binge watched the six episodes on Saturday and I really, really enjoyed it. It is a satirical look at life in a small Ontario community located somewhere near St. Jacobs (it is referred to in one of the episodes). It stars Jared Keeso who starred in that Don Cherry miniseries awhile back.

I'd recommend it to anyone here!

Saw it a couple of months ago - absolutely hilarious and I agree people should give it a try.
Funny enough it's loosely based on the town of Listowel where Keeso grew up; my Mother grew up there as well and I lived in Mitchell for a year. The show was pretty spot on at times about life in the Perth County area.

The series itself is filmed near Sudbury from what I understand, and yeah it is based on Listowel.

I agree that it seems to get Eastern Ontario pretty well. I haven't traveled enough in rural SW Ontario to judge

I just watched all the episodes, thanks for the suggestion. Not a fan of Trailer Park Boys but found this enjoyable. Love Canadian humour.

I recently watched a film, Sleeping Giant that is supposed to take place around Thunder Bay. A bit similar (rural Ontario lifestyle) but not as comedic. Great film though, won best Canadian film and the one of young actors won best actor at some award show.

They had a marathon on the Comedy Network that we PVR'd and we watched our first two episodes tonight. Holy crap is it funny twisted shite. I'd bet that anyone that grew up in a tiny town would love it. Man the actors have some tough stuff to remember with the fast dialogue between them. My wife and I where laughing big time.

Anybody watch the 2nd season yet?

I liked it. Need to re-watch Season 1 to compare if it is better or not.

Watched in one day. I'm leaning towards Season 1 being better. Like when they add localized jokes like buying belts at St.Jacobs market. Wish we saw more of that but I'm just picky about my Ontario humour.

Still trying to catch up with a bunch of other shows and some books I've wanted to read for quite some time. One of the great things about series today is that you can watch shows at anytime. I've heard from some that the first season is better and others have said that they enjoyed the second season more.
