3 Argos (Greenwood, Raymond and Lemon) have all been fined for tackles vs Ottawa. Second week in a row for Lemon, which I still think is a bit unfair.

Was this clean? I think so...

The officiating continues to be a farce.

I could live with a penalty on the field. Maybe it was too fast and the refs couldn't see it fully but a fine is a joke.

Defenders are not allowed to be hard hitting anymore. The rules are no longer allowing it. Players from the 70's era such as Oakland Raiders safety Jack Tatum couldn't play football in this era.

That's the price to pay for not having these players come back and sue in the future. Plus defenders today are more dangerous than in Tatum's day as today they just launch like torpedoes to KTFO the other guy. Tatum hit hard while wrapping up.

Plus they could head tackle and clothes line in those days.

The Lemon hit was clean, but I can understand why a ref would miss it live. The fine however, is uncalled for.

Darryl Stingley just might disagree with this comment.

And that is if Stingley were still alive. What Tatum did to him contributed to Stingley's early death.

I think you got your last statement backwards, Tatum and many defenders back in the 1970's were head hunters and wanted to hurt guys.
Tatum was famous for that kind of shit, unfortunately he decided to lay the hammer on Stingley (who was completely vulnerable on the play) and ruin his life, shameful play IMO.
