I just realized that for some newer members that there is no context to who Grey Cup Garry is and why this forum is named after him.

Garry Terpstra was one of the finest CFL and Argonaut fans that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was a constant fixture at both Argonauts and Tiger-Cat games throughout the season and a stalwart attendee of the Grey Cup and Grey Cup Festival. Grey Cup week was arguably the funnest week of the year for Garry. He was a fixture at tailgate parties and on special occasions would make his famous pulled pork recipe. He always had a smile on his face, always had time for people and was always positive about the Argonauts no matter the circumstances good or bad.

Garry was a presence on 13thman.com and was a moderator/contributor on the previous incarnation of this website.

Unfortunately, Garry passed away not too long after the 2008 Grey Cup and his presence at games, Grey Cup and his contributions online have all been missed.

sat in his section at SkyDome, did a lot of high-fives with Garry over those years. Second deck, front row aisle seat.
I had aisle seats in 5th row back. Sect. 217
His spouse kept their seats and continued to attend Argo games faithfully.

Yup, he sat in 217.

I haven't seen his spouse in quite awhile though.

somebody (maybe Garry's spouse?) had buttons made with simply "GCG" on them, of course meaning Grey Cup Garry. Still have mine, pinned to my 2004 GC Champs ballcap!

That would have been Randy Newman who did them up.
