Nice article from the National Post. His grandson, Leon III is a senior DB/S from the U of SC.

The enormous talent that was Leon McQuay!

Sounds like he's a chip off the old block.

“From an athletic standpoint, the kid is a freakish athlete,” said USC assistant Ronnie Bradford, a defensive back for 10 NFL seasons. “With that size, that speed, that type of power he can generate, it’s amazing.”

I don't think I appreciated the impact that the fumble had on the elder McQuay until now.

McQuay makes an interception late in the game to set up the game winning FG for USC !

I wonder what his NFL chances are. Argos would be nice but that article mentions his interest in music.

Saw a bit of his talent today. Not a big NCAA fan, the bowl system is a total turnoff. But he's got skills. Would love the Argos bringing him in and keeping a family tradition alive.

Last second heroics by Leon McQuay III seal victory for USC over Nittany Lions. His interception and return setup the game winning field goal. Nice way to finish your college playing days.

McQuay actually dropped what should have been a pick just before; so he redeemed himself.

If not picked up in the draft, someone should see if Leon McQuay III has any interest in coming to training camp.

Leon McQuay III was drafted by Kansas City in the sixth round (218th overall). The comment sounds like the apple did not fall far from the tree. KCargosfan may be happy with this connection between his two favourite two teams

Chiefs select: Leon McQuay III, S, USC
Clinched a victory over Penn State at the Rose Bowl with an interception. McQuay III needs to develop mentally but the athleticism is there.

With Leo Cahill's passing, Leon McQuay came to mind of course. So I decided to check on his NFL profile and how he did in his rookie season. Here's his profile
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/leon-mcquay%20iii?id=2558134

On December 11th, he made it onto the KC Chiefs active roster and in week 17 made the game stats with 3 tackles and i assisted tackle for the first time.
