Although I did not see that show, I have noticed in the past on nemerous occasions whether movies or TV shows how the CFL is shown whenever there is background TV of a football game.
The No Funners no doubt maintain copyright while our league does not.

I believe that the CFL maintains copyright but they don't charge an arm and a leg for a TV show or film to use the footage as the NFL likely does.
