In an already toxic Eskimo environment, Odell Willis has made it worse by accusing Nate Coehoorn of lying about his concussions and health and taking a $30,000 bonus before retiring. And Willis didn't stop with his nasty tweets there, as the following article shows.
If management doesn't get rid of Willis, he will destroy any team chemistry. Of course management itself has already contributed to the problem with its own bickering.

Willis is no angel, but both Willis and Coehoorn took necessary pay cuts for this and next season. Nate went on twitter and bitched about it (tweet now removed). Nate fails to mention in his "no hard feelings" tweets that he did in fact collect bonuses on Feb. 1st, Feb 14th and April 1st totaling $45k. I certainly understand why a player would want to collect bonuses before he retires considering the nature of non-guaranteed contracts in the CFL, but don't paint yourself to be a hurt little choir boy on twitter after a team mate calls you out on it.

And yes, there is some turmoil in Edmonton - much as I hate to acknowledge it.

Willis should just mind his own business and keep his opinions to himself.

Willis is an over-rated @$$-hat and legend in his own mind; love to see an Esk team-mate punch his lights out for bad-mouthing a team-mate (or Coehoorn get to do it himself).

The Esks should get rid over clown act Willis and they would be fine with Marcus Howard, Philip Hunt and recently added Aston Whiteside at DE.

Can't stand a club that puts up with big-mouth morons on their TEAM - especially ones that run their yaps to the media, or put-down team-mates or throw them under the bus. They should have got rid of that dork Mr. Ed after he scape-goated Simeon Rottier to the media a couple of years back.

Do those bonuses count against the 2016 cap or 2017?

I believe that they now count against 2017.

I believe that they now count against 2017.Then from an Eskimo perspective, that was a punk-ass move by Coehoorn.

On the other hand, teams often pull punk-ass contract moves on players, so you win some, you lose some.
