I think the larks get a rude awakening at Commonwealth.

I would agree with this assessment.

Everything points to the Esks.

So, Montreal it is!

Montreal was lucky to come away with a win at home against the Riders. On the road in Edmonton they are due for a big loss.

Durant has had some big games at Commonwealth, but I'm picking Esks. Maybe a lazy route by Hazelton will be the difference for an upset though.

Esks by double digits.

I think the Als have still got a way to go in rebuilding, so I pick Edmonton.

Looks like the CFL East is participating weak this yeas. Another crossover this fall?

Durant 166 yards passing and their star FA with 1 reception for 3 yards!
The Als didn't look good last night. But I wasn't impressed with the Esks either.

Al's lost by 4 points. The exact amount of points they lost on a total BS penalty that brought back a Terrell Sutton TD. I've watched that play many times, and have still yet to see an infraction. Officiating is off to a bad start in 2017.

The league should be totally embarrassed over that "blocking" penalty against Philip Blake. Just terrible.

May have cost the Als the game.

John White's season is likely over after being carried off the field with what is likely an ACL injury.

I would have to say that they probably made the right call there BUT tandem blocking is something that could be called much more than it is (i.e., once a decade). I thought that B.C.'s second TD on Friday night was also the result of a tandem block (i.e., you are not allowed to push or pull the ball carrier forward) but it was not called. I actually tweeted Glen Johnson after that play and complained and then, voila, we see this called in the next game though I doubt my tweet had anything to do with that.

It's never called, it never should be called, and it shouldn't even be a rule. Unless they actually pick up a teammate over their heads and throw him forward, let them tandem block all they want. As if we don't already have enough positive plays negated in football.
