Sounds like a P.R. exercise/fake news. The only way Trump could guarantee keeping the Bills in Buffalo was to win the bid process, and he finished 3rd.

This indeed seems hard to believe because Trump is always trumpeting what he has done (or at least claimed to have done) and never acts as the man behind the scenes, as his campaign PR consultant Michael Caputo claims in the article.

Also fake news. The estate of Ralph Wilson was not going to sell the team to anyone who would move them as long as there were other local suitors. They saw right through Rogers-Tannanbaum and Bon Jovi.

Yup. Remember towards the end there was supposedly two mystery buyers that exceeded all other offers........... Pegula went pretty quick to $1.4 Billion after initially offering under $1 Billion IIRC.
