In regards to the sudden passing of Blue Jay Roy Halladay the afternoon DJ on Q107 asked listeners to name their favourite Toronto sports figure.

Number 1 - by a long shot was Argos "Pinball" Clemons.
Number 2 - Blue Jays Robert Alomar
Number 3 - Blue Jays Joe Carter
Number 4 - Giovinco

Interesting.

Also interesting that just 1 of those players is currently active.

I do realize that the demographics for Q107, to quote Rocket Richard "have left just a little grey"!

Forget Ace. I’ll go with the late Brian Budd. Kicked out of the Superstars competition because he was too good.

Giovinco over a Leaf? How odd.

I found that odd too. But after listening to the Q107 music like Fleetwood Mac, I figured that many of my demographic have lost interest in the Leafs after 50 years of losing. Last time I was at a Leaf game in 2011, I had been given a pair of tickets valued at $700 and asked the simple question "Why?"

Interestingly, I would put the franchises I follow in the same order. Follow closely the Argos, and 2nd and 3rd keep track of the standings and under the right circumstances will attend the Blue Jays and TFC.

Are the Leafs are a younger person story?

Interesting. This is just one of the many reasons why I keep beating a live horse on why he should have been named CEO right out of the gate and why he should still be the CEO.
