Logos were painted at the Grey Cup last year too. There's sponsors to please. Lots of time to wash it all off before TFC on the 29th.

True, but I think this is the first time the Argo logo has been on the field, isn't it?

Not the biggest deal, but I love it.

I hope there are some technical difficulties that don't allow the logo and sponsor ads to be washed out.
:D

Giovinco must be cramping up already.

Mark me down as one of those not super happy about this. One of the charms of BMO, to me at least, is the lack of on-field logos. Just grass and lines -- the way it used to be in the good ol' days. Now get off my lawn!

Hey Paul, remind me if I am wrong, but i always thought that playoff games were hosted by the league not the team unless the Team buys back the right from the league?

I think that is still the case. Seeing the social media blitz from the front office tells me the Argos probably did buy this game from the league.

What's the difference between the league hosting the game and the team buying it?

Team would keep the profit, if there is one.

The team is responsible for all ticket sales if they buy the game. IMO, that's why they have been out more marketing this game.

Our crowds might have been bigger

Possibly, but I don't know how much it would have helped. A playoff win away from making to the Grey Cup, first playoff game ever at BMO are both great selling points. Hopefully, the Argos play great, everybody has a great time, and it helps things for the future. There is still too much negativity from people towards the league in this city. Hoping this will be a big step in helping change that.
