Not impressed.

Not a big deal. Barely any trash talk IMO. Reminds me of other times when 3DN was fishing for "gossip" like Messem sub tweets Bo Levi Mitchell after Brees threw in double coverage or how Duron Carter ripped the Als for hiring Sherman. Nothing to see here.

He's right that in the CFL nobody cares who you used to be. This saga has been going on for awhile (the 'will he' or 'won't he').

However, if nobody in the CFL cares who you used to be then why bring it up?

Balls comments were taken out of context. 😆

Not a big fan of this type of thing TBH, however I’ll make an exception for Manziel the player who generally acted like a jackass on and off the field in college and wasn’t any better in Cleveland.

Interestin' .

And wasn't Ball the guy who wielded a baseball bat (while he was not even dressed for the Panthers) in an attempt to intimidate Odell Beckham ?

And gotta love some of those reply comments that follow some of those 3rd Down Nation articles: clueless clowns or keyboard tough guy types running their yaps, with I guess zero attempt to police the comments? - any jack-@$$ can just sign in and flame away ? Reminds of an old CIS discussion site way back - you didn't have to register to comment = and there were all kinds of haters spewing insults or mocking players or other posters.

Sign of the times - social media morons & total big-mouthed @$$-hats who get their chance to have their say in a public forum. Sad/pathetic, yet sometimes quite amusing. I wish pro athletes would stay out of that gutter, but it is so common place now.

Not a lot of brain power on that site, they love taking potshots at the Argo win in the Grey Cup.
Sometimes you have to respond to stir them up again.

Nothing wrong with Ball just trying to sell some tickets. If and when Manziel signs in the CFL, Ball's comments will help promote the first Toronto vs. Hamilton or Montreal game (wherever Manziel ends up).

Me thinks Ball is a bit jealous of the attention that Manziel is getting.

The funny thing about this is I'm sure our owners and maybe even Popp would love to have Johnny Football on this team.

Probably force Ricky Ray to retire, just to get to hand the starting QB job to Johnny Superstar; maybe a funny thing, but also kinda sad/pathetic too.

Maybe another Ochocinco or Michael Sam or some other all-american football super-hero are hanging around to sign as well and add to the prestige of the poor little old Argos.

No thanks to Manziel, Hamilton can have him.

I'd take him in a heartbeat if his head was right. Trestman working with him = great things could happen. Plus I'm sure some more tickets would be sold.

Problem is, nobody knows whether or not his head is right or will ever be right. More to being a team than having just talent. Trestman wins because nobody is bigger than the team. I don`t think that would be the case with Manziel. He would have to be bigger than the team, and my guess is that if things do not go perfectly from the get go, he would be the worst player to have on your team. I would pass on him for that reason. Much rather have Collaros.

“if his head was right”..... big if IMO.
Personally would be disappointed to see a player like him replace the class and humility of Ricky Ray.
Don’t see Manziel as a long term solution under any circumstance:
1) He flames out in the CFL (gone)
2) He performs well for a couple of years in Canada and goes down south (gone)
IMO his end game is a return to the NFL, which wouldn’t have been necessary if he wasn’t such a knob the first time.
Once again, no thanks.

Even Collaros' attitude changed a bit in Hamilton with Austin. You know how I feel about Collaros so I'll leave it at that.

I've mentioned many times how I feel that Trestman is the leader of good men, I think Trestman could do wonders for Manziel on and off the field. I'm not saying we should go after Manziel, I just think it could fit.

This is the big reason I would prefer Collaros, even to Franklin. I think Collaros is well aware that his entire football playing future is in Canada. He can be your QB for the next 8-10 years. Franklin is eyeing the NFL and makes no bones about it.

Here’s how I could see Manziel and Trestman’s first Argo game going.

This Manziel business is so embarassing. After two, maybe three games it will be pretty clear he will not amount to anything in this league, and the CFL community will rue the day he came to Canada.
