Hey gang, glad to be back writing for argonauts.ca. There will be an announcement soon about other duties so please don't ask yet, but there will be some things coming back, some things changing a bit...stay tuned.

I'm more than happy to post articles here for your convenience. Hopefully it kick starts some discussion. If you feel it clutters the timeline I respect that and won't post.

Let me know what you think and I hope to see you in Guelph!

Hogan

I wish Mike could get an alter ego and post here so we would have access to somebody who has access to Argo management. How about Col Klink for a moniker? : )

I realize he is in a position of trust and can't report everything he hears, although I wish he would/could.

So far, news of the training facilities and ticket prices have been good, and apparently their campaign to rebuilt the brand in Toronto that was told to TSN, that's what I want to hear about.

Hopefully it is the return of Football Friday. The original where the discussion was CFL until the Grey Cup. Not the last reincarnation where it was NFL talk for 55 minutes and very quickly a mention the Argos have a game this weekend. In addition Argos in the A.M. a daily 1 hour discussion and update on all thing Argo on TSN 1050. Fingers crossed.

Happy to see you writing for the team again Hogie. Hopefully you'll be calling all 18 Regular Season Argo radio games again, and continuing on with the Double Blue Podcast, which I hope gets some airtime on 1050 and 590.

Yes this kid is right out of College where he was a starter for a couple of years. Probably overlooked because of his listed size. 5'8 177. He was listed as 5'10 181 in College. It seems every year someone comes out of no where and lights it up, while some big names fizzle. A lot of proven veteran talent a head of him back there though. He may have to develop turf toe or something while he waits for an opening.

I've been wondering why I haven't heard much from Hogie both on air (TSN 1050) and in print.

I figured he was on an extended bender after his Eagles won the Super Bowl!

Welcome back Mike... Argo games are not complete unless we get the "Hogie perspective" ... if you can periodically post your media schedule or any of your links or podcasts .... would be appreciated....

It's nice to see that the other shoe has dropped, the other shoe being "full time Argonaut employee". Congrats!

Awesome! It would have been great to have Hogan on board during camp, but better late than never. I'd expect Argos content to be much improved due to having our own reporter.

I’ve always found Hogan a very likeable radio personality, ordinary guy with no ego or agenda.
Wish there were more guys like him around TBH.

Oh it’s great that Hoagie is full-time with the Argos, love it.

I hope he doesn’t remember, but I recall when Mike used to call the Laurier games for radio (maybe still does?) but when I was in undergrad and me and my roommate yelled up to him in the booth a few times “MIKE HOGAN!!!” and waved. Poor Hoagie would look back and sheepishly wave back, I’m sure thinking “what’s wrong with those guys” lol

Mike, are you going to post more article links? I'd be more likely to read them since I access the Argofan website more frequently than the team's. I'm sure a few other forum members are in the same boat.

Thanks, but I wouldn't call the thread title intuitive. Easy to miss.
