Dwight Clark passes away

Most people associate Joe Montana with Jerry Rice, but one of Montana's favorite targets prior to Rice arriving in San Francisco was Dwight Clark. He passed away today at the age of 61 after battling ALS. Most people will rightly associate Clark with "The Catch" in the NFC championship game against the Dallas Cowboys. It is largely seen as the start of the 80's San Francisco dynasty.

Very very sad news. I believe Clark was a late round draft pick who helped turned the Niners from patsies to a perennial power house.
