If anyone sees or hears about any CFL or Argo content on non-sports channels and programs this week (like on CTV Morning, The Social, CP24, etc.), please post something here (even after the fact). I'd like to document how the league and team are getting the story out there beyond the hardcore fans. Thanks!

My suspicion Paul is that we would see Argo appearances on local TV next week prior to the home opener.

A bunch of my old colleagues at MLSE today have been pouring onto social media hailing tomorrow #argosday and are selling tickets for $20 and $30 for the home opener and CNE game. They basically have 700 people selling the home opener (24 hours only)

If you look up the hashtag #argosday you will see it :)

Prettt cool!

It's not TV or radio, in today's Sun the front page of the Sports and then inside a full page for next week Argo tickets.

I just watched "Journey to the Grey Cup. the 2017 Toronto Argonauts" on TSN. At the end I was crying like a baby or more appropriately like a Bo Levi.

A bunch of Stamps fans were po'd about the "doc"; complaining that it was only done for the Argonauts and wouldn't have been done if Calgary won. Which makes zero sense, because TSN has been doing the Journey to the Grey Cup docs for quite a few years now lol.

During the pregame shows on grey cup sunday, they aired the calgary version. there was no argos one shown that day.

AFAIK, the Journey to the Grey Cup has been produced for quite a number of years. It's not our fault that the Stampeders blow their opportunities at having one made about them.

From my knowledge there has been no promotion via non-Sports route. Barely anything on the traditional sports route as well, although did see front page ad on the Toronto Sun.

Not television, but Pinball was on with John Moore on CFRB a few days ago. Unsure of what was discussed.

This illustrates the problem facing the Argos and the CFL in general. With the exception of TSN the cfl, at least in Toronto, gets zero (and i mean zero, nothing, nada) media coverage and thats part of the problem. tSn has poured a huge lifeline into the league with their TV contract but its almost compartmentalized the league into one sports channel. I talk to people downtown i work with who have no idea that Toronto even has a football team (not kidding). A lot of them are new Canadians but a lot of them are millennials. Unless you get or watch TSN yu have no idea the Argos exist. When the CFL was divided between TSN and CBC i believe there was more exposure to the general public.

Thanks for posting this so fast, Gabe -- it allowed me to go back and add the segment to my archive.
