With the news this week that Ricky will not be back, it is time for Argofans to salute all that he has done for the team and the fans, not just the two Grey Cups, but the way in which he demonstrated that dignity and humility can go together with great performance.

Ricky Ray's season is done.
A CFL source told The Canadian Press on Wednesday the veteran quarterback isn't planning to return to the Toronto Argonauts this year after suffering a neck injury in their 41-7 home loss to the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday night.
The source said Ray made the statement to some players after he met with doctors.

Until Ricky Ray officially signs his retirement papers nothing is clear.

He will make, and announce, his decision on his own schedule. I personally expect he has played his last game but will not officially retire until after this season. In any event, saluting him for his career is premature until he tells us what his plans are.
