BC has Travis Lulay back and the difference from Jennings inconsistent performance, once Lulay got rid of the rust from a year's inactivity, was obvious last week. However, LB Solomon Elimimian and former Argo RB Jeremiah Johnson are now on the injured list. The Lions also have given up a lot of yardage along the ground, as well as giving up 24 more points than Ottawa. So I'll pick Ottawa.

Lulay is very much the wild card here. Creates possibilities for the Lions that weren't there with Jennings.

National LB Jordan Herdman will get his first start replacing the injured Solomon Elimimian; Brandon Rutley replaces former Argo Jeremiah Johnson while DL Julien Laurent replaces Junior Luke, as both Johnson and Luke are out with injuries.

Pretty solid and exciting game from both teams looking to get better than just average.

Inexcusable for BC to take that delay of game penalty late that basically cost them the game; but real nice drive by the Ottawa offence to win the game. Sinopoli is a beast at receiver.

Kudos to BC MLB Jordan Herdman making the start to replace a great all-star in Sol-E; Herdman was solid and making plays = so much for all the football experts who wrote the guy off as a possible CFL player - inspite of his just superb college ball D play-making resume - cause his 40 time wasn't fast enough. That dullard Desjardins for the RedBlacks could have easily drafted Herdman where the team had big need at his position, but he likes GOB drafting strategy to pick long-snappers or back-up fullbacks instead; Herdman could be the starting MLB for Ottawa now, instead of cheap-shot artist Hebert (who isn't really a MLB, but could have been good for them as a vet presence at OLB) - Herdman out-played cheap-shot by a ton this game.

Also kudos to BC rookie O-lineman David Knevel - who came in at OT to replace another vet star in Olifoaye; Knevel held-up very well at OT.

Examples of very good young and under-rated talent in the CFL. BC has some very good young NI talent IMO.

Herdman was very capable with 12 DT (the next Lions on the DT list had five) for his first start of his career.

RedBlack Lewis Ward is also being overlooked. He went 5/5 on FGs including a 47 yarder and is now 13/14 on the season.

The Lions look like a different team with Lulay at QB, pretty good defense.
Ottawa woke up in the 4th and Harris played a solid game, he threw some ducks but when you have a receiver like Sinopoli and Ellingson they can make the QB look pretty good.
The time count and loss of down was bad but that's football, no guarantee that BC would have scored a TD or got a first down anyway.
Too bad that Ottawa had to waste that challenge on the kickers "dive" - that wasn't even close.

Lulay had TWO time count violations in the game.
Only unimpressive part of his game last night - but costly!

Entertaining game.

Ellingson's catch was outstanding.
