I know there is so much to critique for what has gone wrong this season but there has been a few positives. Please add on to what you think the organization has done well this year.

For me, I've really enjoyed the "pull together" series. The Leafs and TFC had videos throughout the season and I had always hoped for ones about the Argos. It's a great way for the fans to get to know the players and coaches better. I especially appreciated the most recent one on equipment man, Danny Web.

The cover two with Kate Patterson and Mike Hogan have been appreciated as well. Most professional football teams have updates like this and its about time the Argos did as well.

On the field:
SJ Green continues to impress me. He's so consistent and it has been such a joy to watch him play the last 2 seasons.
Darby has really grown into a leader on defence.
I have hopes in the potential of James Franklin.
Declan Cross is another very dependable player doing great work in the community. I'd love to see him used more.
The come from behind win against Ottawa was very fun to watch.

Anyone else?

I think they have found a couple of keepers in the secondary in Will Likely and Trumane Washington. Overall, it's a pretty young secondary, and tough to judge them with the lack of pressure they have been getting. Darby is also a keeper, and I still would love to see Dowling play the boundary corner spot. Hopefully they can give the unit time to gel next year.

I don't think this is going to be a long thread.

The seats I have for the price I pay. Fantastic!
The continued noise level of Argos fans - even in a bad season. We are small in number and punch above our weight.
The fact that the team is still giving a good effort, despite their record.

S.J. Green was worth price of admission on most games... Like my Grey cup Ring... $5 dollar beer at ship yard and especially in stadium... ticket prices... the social media stuff with Kate and Mike Hogan.... fan organized trip to hamilton....fan organized tailgate starting to take hold.... CFL fans in Toronto get togethers.... the CNE game.... puralator tackle hunger game was well organized... Pinball continues to be the best sports charity person in Toronto.... the home coming thing with Ryerson seemed to work bring some new fans.... I think the running game and our quarterbacks have some potential IMO... the stadium is an excellent place to watch a game especially in the summer... lots of positives IMO.... GO ARRGOS !!!

On offence, SJ Green and Armanti Edwards are as good as you can get as far as receivers go. Levi Noel continues his development and Declan Cross continues to perform well. Brandon Burks looks like he can be part of the equation going forward and the offensive line has done a decent job with pass blocking, especially since the addition of Ryan Bomben. The Argos are actually second in the league in red zone offence and James Franklin still has tantalizing potential at the QB position. James Wilder Jr. is as good of a back as any too.

On defence, I like the young DBs like Roberson, Dowling, Washington, Likely and Woodson. There is lots of potential there. The defence is also second in red zone defence this season, which may be a surprise to many.

This team isn't that far away - there is a solid nucleus in place - but let's get lots of competition in camp in 2019 and get back to where we were during the second half of last season.

Darby and Green are two Argos wo have played well all season and have a shot at being East all-stars. Maybe McEwen and CVZ as well, but I doubt they will be selected.

Franklin has been superb all year at short yardage, and he kept a positive attitude even when he was benched for eight games. I love his demeanour on the sideline, and would feel comfortable going into next season with him as the presumed No. 1 QB.

As bad a year as this has been, we have been able to get a lot of playing time for young DBs, who generally need a season or two to develop. Assuming we bring them back, guys like Washington, Roberson, Likely, Dowling and Covington should be better next season (especially if they are working under a different DC). Woodson also showed a lot of promise back there. We have a good stable of NAT LBs for special teams, and maybe Herdman can develop into a guy who can play some defence. Walker looks like a keeper at DE. Brown seems to be the place-kicker we've been craving, and Medeiros has punted very well since being released from PK duties. Burks is worth bringing back for sure. I'd like to see what Rodney Smith, Alford and White can do next season as well.

I agree. Quite a few of them seem quite athletic but inexperienced and also suffer from the poor pass rush and a very passive defensive system. I remember that one year 15-20 years ago the Saskatchewan Roughriders had a set of young, inexperienced DBs that were repeatedly badly beaten and had the worst DB stats in the league collectively, but the coaching staff stuck with them. The next year they had the best stats as a group in the league. Obviously, that doesn't always work out or even most of the time for that matter, but I think there is a chance we could have a good set of DBs next year between some of this year's injured veterans and the rookie DBs.

One thing that can never be taken away from this organization is the work they do in the community. This stuff makes all the bitching and complaining about the team seem so petty.

You are talking about the Roughriders of 2000 and you are absolutely correct, Jerry. They stuck with that group and it paid dividends. Similarly, the Roughriders had a young group in 1987 but largely stuck with them through some growing pains and won the Grey Cup two years later.

Couldn’t agree more, I’m guilty myself of getting so wrapped up in the results only to see clips like this and think, why are we sweating it? Clips like this are so cool and yes, we cannot take away from the organization doing great stuff like this. Great to see – more to life than W’s and L’s on the football field.
