Marcus Brady, who was an Argo coach as recently as 2017, has been promoted from assistant QB coach in 2018 for the Indianapolis Colts to QB coach.

Colts head coach Frank Reich hired Brady as the assistant quarterbacks coach for the 2018 season. Indianapolis QB Andrew Luck returned to elite form passing for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns, second most in the NFL.

Reich was a quarterback at the University of Maryland, the same school where former Argos bench boss and current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich played. Brady spent eight seasons, from 2009 to 2016, on coaching staffs with Milanovich, first in Montreal and then Toronto. That’s the Colts connection.

After seven seasons as a quarterback in the CFL with Toronto, Hamilton and Montreal, Brady was named the Alouettes receivers coach on Marc Trestman’s staff with the Alouettes in 2009 to begin his coaching career. He was elevated to Als offensive coordinator in 2012 and then took the same job with the Argos in 2013 and spent five seasons in Toronto, winning a Grey Cup with the Argos in 2017.

Good for him. I hope he continues to move up the ranks. He's a really good guy.

Marcus Brady is a smart offensive football mind. Very competitive. Good for him. Too bad there wasn't a way to keep him on the Argonaut staff. He's destined to be a head coach someday.

Clearly a very good offensive mind, just look at the Argos 2018 after Marcus departed

I'm sure he had a lot to do with the Defence being considerably worse in 2018.

To be fair, the Argos offence stunk in 2016 as it did in 2018. Common denominator? Argos did not properly prepare their back up QB's to be ready if and when Ricky Ray wasn't there.

Had nothing to do with it IMO.
