So hyped!

I'm kind of just at the point now where I want to see the two Direwolves return full time (I know budget played into it, but Ghost not at the Battle of the Bastards made zero sense IMO), Jon vs. the Night King, and if the "heir" will sit on the Iron Throne. GRRM has stated that it'll be a bittersweet ending, and as Ramsey Bolton would say "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

Late to the party, but I watched seasons 1-7 this winter on Crave TV. The series as a whole was unique and I enjoyed it. I wasn't sure after season 1, but as usual it got better. A little to gruesome for me at times. Once I learned that murder solves everything, the plot lines became a little predictable. Some nice cliff hangers kept me playing the next episode quite regularly!

Great character and writing. At times, I thought he was going to "turn good" but he stayed true to his nature. Very realistic, people don't change.

Ha, nice! It does look like things are going to explode starting next episode, probably resulting in a few character deaths. Good anticipation and build up in the last two episodes, considering they are writing the story on their own now, without the books.

They all have shades of grey to them.

Heck, Tywin Lannister was likable for a bit because he would stand up to Joffrey.

It's been the opposite for me, to put it mildly I've been rather disappointed with this season. TBH, as much as I love the show, it started going downhill quality and storytelling wise in season 5, which is not surprising when you consider how bad "A Feast for Crows" was.

I like the season -- but do have some reservations nevertheless. I believe that they should've had 9-10 episodes instead of the 6 that they decided upon. Some plot items seemed rushed.

We were told to brace for a bittersweet and not a happy ending. Now that we are getting that, but not the one a lot of people want, they are complaining. It’s for this reason, I think they got it right. I enjoy the messages of corruption, madness and true human evil that can bestow anyone. We see it in real world Governments all the time.

Very true, people also wanted certain things to happen to certain characters, which I feel is part of the bittersweet ending.

For me it's the rushed storyline the last couple of seasons that I and most of the book fans have issue with. It's been pretty clear that David and Dan just want the damn thing to finally end. I always knew there would be a bittersweet ending, and that most of the beloved characters would die, so I have no issue with the Character deaths this season. It's the living characters (some of which are all over the place), the pacing of the story, and all the plot holes as of late that I take issue with. GoT will go down as one of the greatest shows in tv history, but comparing the quality of the first 3-4 seasons to the last two is night and day IMO.

Everybody who I want to survive is still alive (obviously 1 episode left).

I'm just at the point now where I want it to be over, and am hoping that the rumour about Bran isn't true.

Well it’s all over and I’m OK with everything. They could have had a whole season or two, showing Dany’s turn to the dark side, but it had to end. I liked the Dragon’s symbolic scene. Ghost got what he deserved too, LOL.

I actually have no issue with how it all ended, although I will state that the book version of Bran being named King would've made more sense, but I digress.

Jon going back North of the Wall makes sense to a degree, as does Arya going off on her adventures, Sansa, Tyrion, et all also had endings that made sense. IMO where David and Dan screwed up was how the story got there, way too rushed the last two seasons, and a lot of plot holes from season 5 on. In saying that Martin still has two more books to finish, so hopefully us book fans get a better lead up to the end.
