Terry Greer won a Super Bowl in the late 80s as a member of the 9ers. Terry. Greer. Any other Argo connections would be appreciated as I can't come up with anymore.....

Ricky Ray started his pro career in 49ers camp. Only lasted one preseason game.

None other than McLeod Bethel-Thompson who had his dream come true when he suited up for his hometown team.

I recall Arland Bruce came back to the Argos from the 49'ers for some very productive seasons in Toronto.

And I remember quite a few of us were pretty excited about the signing of former 49'er RB Kendall Hunter, who retired before we could even see him in camp.

Ohio State All-American DB Tim Anderson was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of the 1971 NFL draft, but he chose to sign with the Argos instead. Man those were the days. But he didn't have nearly the impact that Stillwagon and Theismann had.

I still remember Leo Cahill’s quote about that great Ohio States defence. You didn’t one way because of Jack Tatum, the other way because of Tim Anderson or up the middle because of Jim Stillwagon. We got two out of three in that group and you know what happened to Jack Tatum. I still have his book “They Call Me Assassin.”

Cripes that 71 Argo D-backfield had some talent: Anderson, Marv Luster, Dick Thornton, Dave Raimey (who had been converted from RB) and Chip Barrett (excellent Canadian DB out of UBC); did Leo trade or cut Jim Tomlin, who had been a CFL East all-star in 70 - he played for both the Argos & BC in 71 ?

That 71 team had huge talents everywhere.
