Global Draft

The Global draft may or may not ever happen this year, but I going to go out on a limb and make my Argo wish list anyway.
1st round: OT Steve Nielson 6'7 325 Denmark
2nd round: P/K Jake Ford 6'2 225 Australia
3rd round: RB Taku Lee 5'11 203 Japan
4th round: DE Malcolm Engstrom 6'3 235 Sweden
5th round: LB Luis Polastro 6'3 220 Brazil

I saw Nielson play for Eastern Michigan this past year, and he has a chance of potentially being one of the two Global players one the roster. Be good to have a backup dressed for one of the International Linemen.

The same with Ford especially as a punter backing up Bebe in case of injury.

Someone from the last three who could play special teams, would be of value as the second Global player on the game day roster.

What happens to last years global players? Is it just a 1 year deal?

Could be brought to TC I would imagine to try for the 5 spots designated for the Global players. 2 on the 46 and 3 on the PR. I think we're going to see a better calibre of players brought in this year. Probably will be a few hold overs like Hansen with Winnipeg. I believe they have to sign a two year deal.
But looking at everything that's going on maybe it will be postponed for a year.
