Here's a closer look at one of the Argo negotiation list players:

Jordan Fehr, LB, Appalachian State, FA
Fehr was a two-year starter at Appalachian State and had 211 tackles, eight sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries while being named a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference player in 2018 and a second-teamer in 2019. Hurt by an unconventional draft year that didn’t allow for a pro day, Fehr went undrafted. He signed with the Vikings and was a training camp cut, which has sent the six-foot-two, 230-pounder into free agency. In 2019 he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash, a 40.5-inch vertical jump and benched 415 pounds (!!). He sounds pro-ready and like a player that would fit in with an Argos team that’s trying to get back to greatness.

Fehr size and stats would appear to make him a good candidate to be a CFL MLB. I see they have two guys Atkins (6'1 230) and Beck (6'1 220) on the roster with similar college stats. Also a couple of big Canadian prospects in Kwemo and Cassar behind Bear Woods. Bear isn't getting any younger and seems to be getting injury prone, but is a good one when healthy. They need a good #2 guy available behind Bear for depth. They all sound good on paper.

This is what I wrote about Fehr back in September.

JORDAN FEHR – LINEBACKER, APPALACHIAN STATE
To be blunt, Jordan Fehr is an athletic specimen. Last year he ran a 4.45 40, posted a 40.5” vertical jump, and bench pressed 415 pounds. That earned him the third spot among FBS players on The Athletic’s annual “Freaks List”.
A 6’2”, 230-pound middle linebacker, in his final two seasons with the Mountaineers he amassed 195 tackles, including 109 last year.
Fehr was a national semi-finalist for the Campbell Trophy, awarded to the country’s top scholar-athlete. On the field he was named All-Sun Belt in each of his last two seasons.
The Charlotte, N.C. native knows what it takes to win, as his teams won the conference title in all four of his years at Appalachian St. and went 4-0 in Bowl games.
Fehr has a high football IQ and a great nose for the football. He’s a sure-handed tackler.
He signed with the Vikings in April as an undrafted free agent but was one of their final cuts. He’s a free agent.

That is an awesome resume! Be nice to sign him for TC.

That LB Williams BC drafted 1st overall last draft has a similar athletic freak resume.
