I'm far from certain that anyone looks in the Sociable! forum any more, but I'm curious to hear when our users get their COVID vaccine(s). Please post when you do!

For my part, I received dose #1 of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine on Jan 6 and have an appointment to get #2 on Jan 27. I felt some injection site soreness about 12h after the injection, but it faded away over the next several hours.

The general public in Ontario isn't expected to receive their vaccines until the spring. I don't know how many other members here, aside from yourself, are health care professionals. It is possible some of them have received their vaccine already.

Good point Will. I'll update when I get my second shot, and hopefully others will be able to chime in before too long.

I received dose #2 yesterday. For the record, I experienced a headache overnight and have been fatigued for most of the day. That's "more dependent on coffee than usual" fatigue, though, not "stay home from work" fatigue. However, after comparing notes with my colleagues there have been a pretty wide range of reactions, from *nothing* to whole-body soreness + shortness of breath, so don't expect my experience to be predictive.

I received my first dose yesterday (Astra Zeneca). No real side effects other than a bit of a sore arm yesterday and feeling a little sleepy today. My second shot is slated for Aug 23.

Just got my first Pfizer dose this afternoon.

Given my age (50) and the percentage of eligible already vaccinated (~65), I'm pretty optimistic that the number of people who will refuse a vaccine is quite small.

Combine that with the rapidly declining active case count, and we may experience something close to normalcy later this year.

Canada seems to be crushing it, now that the pre-ordered vaccines are finally becoming available.

The US is not. Even Oregon, which has done quite well so far, seems likely to top out at 70% fully vaccinated unless something changes.

I got Pfizer #2 on Wednesday afternoon. It feels pretty good to have both done!
My arm was more sore than shot #1, but overall the side effects seemed less. I felt chills from 5 PM - 7 PM on Thursday, but then felt fine all of a sudden.

Glad that's over. Got my second shot today, and didn't have to wait in line for an hour like last time.

At this rate, our vaccination levels should be excellent by Labour Day.

Nice Job. I'm getting my second shot this coming Sunday.

Excellent. I was able to re-book both mine and my wife's second shots for this Friday, which is 2+ months ahead of the orginal schedule. I've felt fairly safe since the first dose, but will feel even safer in a few more weeks.

I'm scheduled for a booster (Pfizer/BioNTech dose #3) on Thursday and I'll update.

FWIW #3 felt exactly like #1. Very minor side effects.
