I'm trying to think of some games that the Argos won that I wasn't expecting them to:

2010 East-Semi @ Ivor Wynne Stadium -- Yes! It is true that Cleo Lemon has won a playoff game in the Canadian Football League.

August 14, 2010 -- Argos 37, Als 22 was a pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting heading into the game.

2017 Grey Cup -- goes without saying!

Anyone got any others?

77 @ Montreal, maybe the biggest Argo moment of the 70s other than getting to the 71 Grey Cup.

82 vs Edmonton was considered a huge upset at the time.

Winnipeg in 93 and Calgary in 95, two unexpected wins against good teams during dismal seasons.

94 - on the road, in Baltimore = beat a powerhouse team that went on to the next 2 GCs

31-24 on August 20, 1994

Argos rushed for 230 yards (Pinball & Slack both 100+) and held Ham and Pringle to 46 on the ground.

As I said on Twitter, 2004 playoffs. Nobody gave us a chance going into Montreal. 50 000 fans and we upset them. I was there, couldn’t be happier. Next week against B.C., who were heavy favourites. It was a nervous Grey Cup, but the underdog Argos won thanks to terrible coaching. A lot of players and us fans were emotional after that win because we just came through some tough seasons combined with a tough playoff run.

What year was that play-off game in Montreal (i think, or was it at home?) where Pinball returned the opening KO for a TD ?

That was 1996 -- not an upset -- it was at SkyDome.

That was a good memory. I was still sitting in the old Windows Restaurant when Pinball took that opening kickoff to the far house.

August 20th .....the year was 19 Hundred and 94. The Argos walk into Memorial Stadium in Baltimore Maryland and defeat the CFLers 31-24.

2017 Grey Cup. Thank you Bo Levi. Also any time we beat Hamilton is a great win.

The Argos were 2-4 coming in and Baltimore was 4-2, but this was also before we knew what Baltimore would become. And let's not forget they were an expansion team.

Maybe the bigger upset was that they beat us in the season opener.

Labour Day Classic 1987 (September 7, 1987) - Argos beat the Tiger-Cats 25-19 aided by a Darnell Clash punt return TD. The Tiger-Cats were 6-3 heading into this game while the Argos were 4-4-1. This was a turning point for both teams as the Argos finished the year 7-2 while the Tiger-Cats went 1-8. The Argos would beat the Tiger-Cats in the east-semi.

Labour Day Classic 2012 (September 3, 2012) - the Argos were .500 heading into this game and had a better record than Hamilton, but given that it is Labour Day I will call in an upset win, Argos won 33-30 with a 4th quarter comeback. Ahmad Carroll with a pick-six.

The 2012 Labour Day game was one of the most enjoyable games I have attended, we had Purolator field level seats just behind the end zone.
Pinball spent a good portion of the game in our area which made us feel safer as we figured Hamilton fans wouldn’t throw anything at us with him in the area (thankfully we were correct).
Thoroughly enjoyed walking through Hamilton with my Argo gear after the game.👍

This was the scoreboard end of Ivor Wynne or the other end?

Other end (Argos luxurious locker room was behind us).

Other end (Argos luxurious locker room was behind us).

One needed to be brave to sit in those sections as an Argos fan.

TBH it was a concern, down on field level with a bunch of drunk Labour Day Ticat fans yelling and looking down at us.
Like I mentioned Having Pinball hang around for a chunk of the game was a relief, he is so well liked I figured they wouldn’t throw anything down on us with him there.

While some will disagree -- the move from Ivor Wynne to Tim Hortons Field has removed the small element from Labour Day games that were just there to cause trouble. They've been priced out.
