I have mixed feelings about Jim Barker as HC and GM, but I strongly feel he played a major role in getting Canadian QBs back in the CFL picture. There were a lot of looks of credulity when he signed Canadian QB Danny Brannagan for the 2010 season and questions about how many days before he would be cut. Brannagan only played in one game at the end of the season but his making the team, becoming the first Canadian QB to start since 1997 and the first one for the Argos since 1969, did start people talking about why there weren't more Canadian QBs in the CFL. Barker also start a QB camp for young Canadians saying that they should have the opportunity to develop. Maybe seeing how bad an 8 game NFL starter in Cleo Lemon could be also helped break some of the QBs must be American orthodoxy.
Its good to see Rourke's record breaking performance of 436 passing yards, after every CFL team except Winnipeg had a chance to draft him, yesterday show what is possible with Canadian QBs.
Its also good to see Michael O'Connor and Tre Ford on CFL rosters.

After a slow start in the QB dept. Jim Barker brought in Ricky Ray, Zach Collaras, Trevor Harris, Cody Fajardo and Mitch Gale. Not too shabby.
