Hey forum!

I've been an Argos fan for 20+ years watching the CFL on CBC back in the early 2000s. I'm in my late 20s, probably one of the few people in the GTA in my age category that cares about the Argos & CFL. Just wanted to see what's being planned for 2023 specifically since it's our 150th anniversary, maybe someone from the organization can speak to what they have in store for us fans. I plan on attending a few games this season. Thanks!

$150 Season seat sale
$1.50 beer at games
$1.50 hot dogs
$1.50 tickets for children

Just for starters. These are my ideas, but MLSE please feel free to implement all of them. Full houses will be fun at BMO.

Welcome to the site under30ArgosFan.

While I haven't heard any concrete plans, there are some I'd like the Argos to try and do with the caveat that it isn't my money they'd be spending.

1) Different retro unforms for each game

Home Game 1: current uniforms
Home Game 2: 1971 uniforms
Home Game 3: 1975 uniforms
Home Game 4: 1983 uniforms
Home Game 5: 1991 uniforms
Home Game 6: 1997 uniforms
Home Game 7: 1960's uniforms

This is only a sample schedule.

2. A 150th anniversary team with fan input

3. Scooter's ideas aren't bad ones

4. 150th anniversary merchandise.

5. Introduce a block of alumni at each home game.

For the sake of my well-being and freedom, please no $1.50 beers. I'm begging you.

The $1.50 ticket for children would be a great idea and a great way to get families out to games.

Patience folks.

We have some great things planned. I was on two meetings yesterday that specifically dealt with our 150th.

It's going to be a great year to be an Argo fan, but then again, it always is.

Looking forward to seeing what you are all cooking up. Doesn't make a difference to me, I will be there. But I would love to see something to get young families out to the games in larger numbers.

I'm sure something special is being planned for the 150th.

2023 is also the 40th anniversary of the 1983 Grey Cup victory.

The Argos could honor a Grey Cup winning team at each home game, I suppose.

But, you also have to account for the drought as you cannot deny it took place when the visibility of these players in Toronto was at its highest.

So how many posters on this forum have been on board the good ship Argo since it first sailed? My awareness dates back only to 1959.

Truth! Canadian football has been a big part of my life since I first became aware of its existence and I'm very glad the CFL is still around.

And I love your broadcasts on 1050 CHUM!

The $1.50 beers are a bad idea. The rest are great though!
